Success Magazine - Top Gifts for the Busy Professional

Bristol & Sussex products are made by doctors and biochemists for people who don’t have time for complicated beauty routines. Bristol & Sussex’s three steps—cleansing soap, pH and oil balancing moisturizer, and hydrating facial oil—take less than 4 minutes and encapsulate everything you need for healthy skin and a natural glow.

Why ‘Less Is More’ When You Have Phenom Ingredients

Turn over nearly any product in the conventional beauty aisle and you’ll see a lengthy list of practically indecipherable ingredients. When you aren’t sure what’s in your products, how can you be sure they’ll work for you? Enter Bristol & Sussex, a line built on the idea that less is truly more when you use phenomenal, bioavailable ingredients. In this line, each ingredient has been carefully selected and thoughtfully curated to fulfill a specific purpose. The oils were selected for their fatty acid profile to ensure profile diversity, nourishment and penetration into the skin, and the vitamin levels are the result of thorough research into skin sensitivity to ensure comfort while maximizing efficacy. You will find this level of precision in every aspect of the Bristol & Sussex line.

Bloom& Clementine

I love the oils used in this particular blend. When I first began healing my skin, Rosehip oil was suggested to me by a holistic esthetician as an organic option for hydrating my skin and helping it to regulate its natural oil production. Not only does it do that, but it has potent antioxidants and natural resurfacing properties which aid in restoring skins brightness and reducing dullness. This also makes it ideal for aging skin. Since then, I have come across all other oils and ingredients used in this particular face oil and they are all stand out ingredients with powers that will help transform your skin. They have been carefully chosen for specific reasons and blend together beautifully in this bottle of skin care magic.

I have continued to use this oil in my skincare regime following my standard testing period and have continued to notice the benefits. Soft, smooth, hydrated skin that doesn't feel too greasy upon application.

Organically Becca

Bristol & Sussex currently carries three products, all designed to work together in your skincare routine and work with your skin’s natural processes to cleanse, minimize the appearance of pores, even skin tone, soften, and firm.

Cleanse Facial Cleanser: This one is my favorite of the set! It’s a foaming cleanser that really makes your skin feel clean, not stripped. It removes makeup gently yet effectively. It’s formulated to preserve your skin’s natural microbiome and contains niacinamide, sea kelp, vitamin C, vitamin B5, & vitamin E.
Balance Facial Moisturizer: A super lightweight moisturizer that contains oils identical to lipids found in the skin. It also protects skin with a silky, non-greasy finish. I really like this one for daytime use because it’s so light and my skin just loves it. It’s made with niacinamide, sea kelp, ceramides, vitamins, hyaluronic acid, and squalane.
Hydrate Deep Conditioning Facial Oil: I use this one last to really lock in moisture and deeply hydrate (light enough for daytime use but great for applying at night before bed)! It’s a non-comedogenic blend of omega fatty acids, vitamins C & E, squalane, rosehip, sea buckthorn, argan, jojoba oil, and CoQ10. These all work together to hydrate, soothe, calm inflammation, depuff, and fight signs of aging.

All of the products have a really pleasant scent of lavender, chamomile, and rosemary. It’s a subtle earthy smell with hints of the above. I really like it! It’s not too strong, either.

Green Beauty Project

Just in time for some cooler weather here comes @bristolsussex with a simple yet highly effective skin care routine incorporating some serious clinically proven ingredients to combat the most annoying signs of dehydration and aging such as wrinkles, hyper pigmentation, lost of collagen/elasticity and weakened skin surface.

This line has knocked my socks off and I just uploaded a very detailed video on my channel talking about their 3 products: Hydrate, Balance and Cleanse
If you are interested (and by interested I mean you need to) in incorporating ingredients such as CoQ10, ceramides and niacinamide into your skincare routine this brand is for you!
Did I mention Bristol & Sussex is vegan, cruelty free, free of nasties and all ingredients are EWG 1???

Naturally Beautiful Girl

I have been trying out the @bristolsussex Daily Radiance Set, which includes their hypoallergenic facial cleanser, their pH and oil balancing moisturizer, and their deep conditioning facial oil. I must say that I am quite impressed by this set. I love that this set consists of three products that work synergistically together to rebalance your skin's pH and oil production. Even though this set is designed for all skin types, it has worked wonderfully on my oily/acne prone skin. The cleanser does a great job of gently cleansing my skin without being stripping or drying. I have been extremely impressed by the moisturizer which adds moisture to my face without being greasy or heavy. The hydrate oil is the first facial oil that is lightweight enough that, even with my oily skin, I can use it in the morning under makeup! ? (Also, just look at the beautiful color of the hydrate oil!) As a scientist, I appreciate that Bristol and Sussex employs doctors and biochemists to ensure that their products actually work. Also, on the Bristol and Sussex website there are links to scientific research articles about the safety and efficacy of many of the ingredients used in their products! Overall, I'm thoroughly impressed by these products and have linked the Bristol and Sussex website in my bio in case you would like to check them out.

The Skin Care Diary

Bristol and Sussex is a seriously underrated company. As I force myself to become more in tune with ingredient lists and product manufacturing the smaller my circle of trusted products grows.  A lot of people ask me if I support only all natural and vegan products and the answers is, no. It’s not that I don’t want to, I guess it’s just because I’m a bit selfish- I’ve found some amazing products that work for me (after years of trial and error) and I don’t wanna give that up quite yet. BUT when I find products that can easily slide in and replace others in my routine, I will. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I freaking LOVE that one of Bristol and Sussex’s main objectives is to keep the skin pH balanced. I think that is so SO important!  Having a happy moisture barrier is one of the first steps to getting your skin in order.  I also love that they are/have Clinically Proven Ingredients, Organic Ingredients, Plant Derived Vitamins, Increased Bioavailability, Hypoallergenic, All Natural, Vegan, Cruelty Free, Paraben Free, Gluten Free, Silicone Free, Sulfate Free.

Luxe & Beaute

Cleanse: This is actually the first foaming cleanser I have ever tried, and I believe it really raised the bar for all of the foaming cleansers out there. I have really sensitive, dry skin, so I was a bit worried at first, since I had heard how drying these cleansers can be. However, I was pleasantly surprised. This is a super gentle cleanser, but very effective at removing impurities as well. My skin feels perfectly comfortable after cleansing, yet bright and clean too.

Balance: Oh, this moisturizer. The texture is lovely, it feels kind of fluffy? It instantly absorbs into my skin without leaving any kind of residue behind. It really calms down any redness on my skin, leaving my face feeling fresh and soothed. I have also found that I've been rarely using any sleeping masks since I started using this, so it is doing a pretty damn good job at keeping my skin perfectly balanced and moisturized. This is my favourite of the set, and my new favourite moisturizer as well.

Hydrate: I was a bit confused at first, as I'm used to using oils before a moisturizer, and the instructions indicated to use this as the last step in the routine. I actually did try it both ways, just to be sure and liked it a lot more as the finishing touch. This deep conditioning facial oil does wonders at locking up moisture after cleansing and moisturizing. It gave my skin the gorgeous glow I live for. Also, it works great as a makeup base! Like seriously, my CC Cream goes on effortlessly and looks completely natural.

My skin has improved so much since I started using Bristol & Sussex. After our last brutal winter here in Ontario my skin was really out of wack, with crazy breakouts and nothing seemed to satisfy its thirst either. This set helped my skin to finally get back on track, and I really love how healthy my skin feels and looks right now. I will forever recommend these products to everyone.

Cleanse: This cleanser has actually pleasantly surprised me, it's light and gentle, yet still really cleanses my face. My t-zone usually needs a little more cleansing thanks to it's oiliness and the Florida weather; however, this foam has been just perfect. The only time I still use an oil based cleanser before-hand is when I have heavy eye makeup or lipstick.

Balance: I usually do not like heavy moisturizers but this def changes the game for me. My skin has felt a lot more balanced, even on my dreaded t-zone. A little really goes a long way and this sinks into my skin instantly which I love. It also doesn't hurt that it's got several vitamins I usually had to add as a serum.

Hydrate: Although I used to shy away from oil since I've got an oily t-zone I decided to give this one a shot and it has been great in balancing me out. I have; however been using this only at night since my skin does pretty well with only Balance during the day.

All in all, I am definitely very happy where this regimen has taken my skin and will continue to use it and recommend it!

Dirt Naturals

Step 1- Cleanse. I usually don’t prefer foaming cleansers, but I was very pleasantly surprised with this one! It contains some really great ingredients such as Pacific Deep Sea Kelp, Olive Squalane, Niacinamide, MSM, and Vitamins C + B5! It clocks in with a great PH of 5.2-5.7. I find that this cleanser removes my makeup very well without stripping my skin. Most foaming cleansers leave my skin feeling dry but this one did quiet the opposite. My skin felt balanced and clean!
Step 2- Balance. This facial moisturizer was formulated to regulate the skins PH and oil levels while softening and firming without silicones. It contains all the same powerful ingredients as the cleanser plus a Ceramide Complex and Hyaluronic acid to deeply hydrate. I love how this comes in a tube for easy and sanitary application! I find this layers very well under makeup and gives me enough moisturization throughout the day without being too heavy.
Step 3- Hydrate. Unlike most facial oils this oil is formulated for deeper skin penetration. Its featured ingredients are CoEnzymeQ10, Olive Squalane, Sea Buckthorn oil, plus Rosehip seed oil. I’ve actually never used a facial oil with Squalane in it before so I was super excited to test this out! I love how soft this made my skin and how it didn’t leave behind any sort of residue. I actually really love to mix this with the moisturizer if i want a deeper treatment! Overall I really enjoyed this set and am super impressed with the ingredient lists on all these products!

Mod Young

It makes me skin glowy, never greasy, and has a bunch of good-for-your-face ingredients, who’s are two huge benefits to me (oh yeah, also, IT IS GORGEOUS).

All in all, I really have enjoyed this system. I love the minimal packaging. The people behind the brand are lovely, as is the brand concept. Also; the products are stand up products! If you are sensitive to essential oils, you’ll want to examine the ingredients lists, but if not, these clean, green beauties should be on your list.  ALSO: Ever since reading Beyond Soap, I’m obsessed with the pH of my skin, and I absolutely love the emphasis that this system puts on pH maintenance! Very grateful I had the opportunity to try this. ALSO, I hear whispers that they may be swapping in the plastic packaging for some beautiful, sleek, glass packaging!?

Marissa Explains

@bristolsussex introduced their product line to me and my skin has been loving the gentle formulas lately I put my skin through the ringer as you guys can see, i.e. getting breakouts (I try a ton of product!), laser facials etc. I’m always looking for TLC when working in getting my skin back to normal.
Here’s a mini review of these products, great for anyone looking to balance skin PH while giving the skin the nutrients it needs with ingredients like squalane, hyaluronic acid and vitamins. I start with the face cleanser, which is hypoallergenic & really calming, full of vitamins. I pat dry afterwards to make sure I don’t strip my skin of everything I cleansed with. I like the feel of the cleanser, it’s foamy so very light on the skin! Next in the routine is the Moisturizer, which I love because of the Hyaluronic Acid it contains, so skin is plump and hydrated after I use it. And last, the facial oil. It smells fresh and hydrated with Squalane and vitamins, a perfect combo for anyone that needs hydration and soothing skincare. After using consistently my skin is ready to use peels again and to use some more effective anti aging products like reintroducing retinol.

Devs Day

Cleanse - hypoallergenic facial cleanser designed to remove environmental toxins, excess oil, and makeup. The oil and pH balance help to maintain your skin barrier. Active ingredients are niacinamide, vitamin C, B5 and E. This also has EO’s of lavender, chamomile and rosemary to soothe and calm skin and sea kelp bioferment. This is a foam cleanser. It smells fairly strongly of the EO’s, which doesn’t bother me but might bother some. This does not remove makeup, but is a really nice second cleanse. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry or stripped at all, but balanced. I gave my feedback to the team, and they are already working on a cleanser that is effective at removing makeup!
Balance - pH and oil balancing facial moisturizer designed to regulate the face’s pH and oil levels, while softening & firming without silicone. It contains a ceramide complex, a sea kelp and hyaluronic acid blend, vitamins and minerals, as well as rose hip and sea buckthorn oils, that work together to reduce lines, improve tone, redness, and give you a glow. Does also contain EO’s. I am obsessed with this moisturizer. It feels really lightweight but is SO hydrating. It smooths into the skin, making my skin look plump, hydrated, glowy, and youthful. It’s great for both day and night. This also smells faintly of pumpkin to me? This might be my fav product of the three?
Hydrate - a deep conditioning face oil has the ideal blend of oils, plant derived vitamins and antioxidants to give you a glow. It’s non-comedogenic, has diverse omega fatty acids, vitamins C&E, as well as skin balancing squalane, organ, jojoba, and age-defying CoQ10 oils. It also contains castor oil, which is known to penetrate pores deeply, and fight bacteria overgrowth, balancing oil production. This smells like pumpkin pie to me?! This oil feels medium weight to me, and it absorbs into the skin really well. I find it to be really nice for both day and night time, although I personally prefer something slightly lighter for day time. Also, this bottle is HUGE so you can really use it anywhere. Really enjoying this.

Overall, I think this is a great starter set for someone who prefers clean beauty, and wants to create a simple but effective routine and doesn’t know where to start. This is 100% designed for someone like my sister— she has kids and is really busy, and likes a simple, clean routine, and also doesn’t really wear makeup.

La Vie de Fawn

Cleanse - Hypoallergenic Facial Cleanser: This foaming cleanser helps to preserve the skin’s natural microbiome in order to control breakouts. It is formulated with a plant derived niacinamide (B3), vitamin C, B5 and E blend. Lavender, chamomile, and rosemary soothes and calms your skin while reducing inflammation and puffiness. Foaming cleansers usually freak me out due to the fact that a lot of them can be stripping. However. this isn’t the case with this cleanser. I find that it gives a deep clean while preserving and nourishing my skin.

Balance - Facial Moisturizer: This moisturizer is formulated to regulate the face's pH and oil levels while softening and firming without silicone or silicone derivatives. Sea kelp, hyaluronic acid, vitamins, sea buckthorn, and rosehip oil work to soothe and calm the skin. This moisturizer also claims to improve skin tone and reduce fine lines. I really love the texture of this moisturizer. I find that it doesn’t leave any residue behind - it’s never greasy. I like to use it in the morning before putting on makeup.

Hydrate - Deep Conditioning Facial Oil: This blend of oils is formulated with a high concentration of omega fatty acids, vitamins C & E as well as squalane, argan and jojoba oil, and CoQ10. It is specially formulated for deeper skin penetration + is intended to be applied after using the facial moisturizer. This beautiful oil has a really silky texture. I find that you can also use it without a moisturizer as a final step of nourishment in the evening. It smells amazing as well.

Skin By Brit

I have noticed that the biggest change in my skin, has been the minimizing of oil production. I have been using the “cleanse” in my AM regimen, as it is a foaming consistency, & super light. The combination of “hydrate” oil & the “balance” moisturizer have been amazing additions to my regimen & have brightened my skin tone & reduced my fine lines!
